Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Technical Service & Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 75 702 094 764) — "TSAS", "we", "us" — provides bookkeeping and related services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

From visitors to this website, through the enquiry form:

  • your name and, if you give it, your business name;
  • your email address and phone number;
  • the software you use and the services you are interested in;
  • the content of the message you send us.

From clients, in the course of providing bookkeeping services:

  • business and contact details, including those of your nominated staff;
  • financial records, transactions, invoices and supplier details;
  • payroll information, which may include employee names, pay rates, tax file numbers, superannuation details and bank account details;
  • access details for the accounting and service-management systems you ask us to work in.

How we use it

We use personal information only to:

  • respond to your enquiry and discuss whether we can help;
  • provide the bookkeeping, payroll and invoicing services you have engaged us for;
  • issue our own invoices and keep the records we are required by law to keep;
  • meet obligations under Australian tax, employment and corporations law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for marketing unrelated to your enquiry or engagement.

Employee and participant information

Where we process payroll, we handle employee information on behalf of our client, who remains responsible for it as the employer. Where our clients are NDIS providers, any participant information we encounter remains in the client's own systems and is accessed only to the extent necessary to complete the agreed bookkeeping work.

Disclosure

We may disclose personal information to:

  • the software providers we and our clients use to deliver the services (for example accounting and payroll platforms);
  • your accountant or registered BAS or tax agent, where you have asked us to;
  • government agencies where the law requires it — for example the Australian Taxation Office;
  • professional advisers bound by confidentiality.

We do not disclose personal information to overseas recipients except where a software provider we use stores data outside Australia. Where we choose our own systems, we prefer providers that store data in Australia.

Security and access credentials

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Electronic records are kept in reputable, access-controlled cloud systems, and access is limited to personnel who reasonably require it to do the work.

Where a client gives us access to their accounting or service-management systems, those credentials are held in a dedicated, encrypted password manager — never in our own client records, in spreadsheets, or in email. Multi-factor authentication is used on financial systems wherever the system supports it, and individual user accounts are used in preference to shared logins. Access is revoked when an engagement ends, and we ask clients to change any shared credentials at that point.

If something goes wrong

If we become aware of actual or suspected unauthorised access to, or loss or disclosure of, personal information we hold, we will notify the affected client as soon as reasonably practicable, work with them to contain and assess it, and meet our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where the breach is likely to result in serious harm.

Retention

We keep records for as long as needed to provide our services and to satisfy legal record-keeping obligations. Working papers and supporting documentation created in the course of our work are retained in electronic form for at least five years, and records relating to employment and superannuation for seven years, after which they are securely destroyed. Enquiry form submissions that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months.

Where enquiry details are stored

Enquiries submitted through this website are stored in our client management system, hosted on Supabase infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia, and a copy is emailed to us. Enquiries are visible only to signed-in TSAS personnel.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request as part of serving them. The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script; Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser information for that check, and it is not used to track you across sites. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostics.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Email rob@tsas.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at rob@tsas.com.au and we will work with you to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
